Realisation of my long time ago mentioned idea, finally came. After many weeks of designing and software developing, at the end of November I've received  my first proto boards. Then during last weekend I could build and test everything. So far everything looks very promising.

First presented pcb is first out of the project, which has been modified in comparison to my previous informations. After discussing with couple of end-users I decided to divide project into 3 parts, each independly driven through USB:
- GLARE I/O,
- PEDESTAL I/O,
- OVERHEAD I/O.
Final cost of project will be little bit more expensive but instead project will be more user friendly and easier to understand.

As I said before this pcb if designed to serve everything from GLARE and MIP area any cockpit thanks included features:
- 64 INPUTS for switches and encoders
- 48 OUTPUTS for LED-s
- 24 7-seg DISPLAYS
For extensions are available 4 additional sockets. Each can drive any of extension boards. (available in the future).

And this is my development platform for microcontroller software testing. I can really recommend this kit for everyone, who wants to play with PIC microcontrollers. Build in  very fast programmer and own C compiller with ready libraries makes this kit very necessary.
