FCU Project - first attempt

My first attempt to build complete FCU + 2xEFIS was quite succesfull. Proto pcb's were home made and as you can see very good quality. Below you can see very first version of my FCU.

On the beginning I had little problem to find suitable 7-segment displays. Some time spend on research and finally I found one at Mouser US online shop. After everythings it wasn't good idea as the shipping costs me a lot ... and size of each segment was lot more then what was allocated in my plans. I had to change front panels design and pcb layout as well.

Whatever I have done to get to this stage costs me a lot of time and money as well. Building simparts is not that cheap as looks like. I had to buy a lot of tools and lots of different electronic components, wires, soldering station etc. But at the end the best is satisfaction, if you can say - this is my design and hard work, I love this feeling ...
